Today we got to do our pre-view. I think it went pretty well actually. There are some things we will have to work on. Dancing , personalities, and relationships. So after the holidays I when chopping down on parts begin. I hope everything will go well ^-^

Today we went over scenes on the stage. We have to do pre-view on Wednesday. One of these days at lunch we shall have to get together to use the whole stage. Some people still seemed to not have there lines memorized if this comes a constant problem I'm not sure what I am going to do at this point.

Unfortunately everything was cut short today because we didn't have the theatre. But none the less we talked about props and what people have at home. I tried to rehearse one scene in particular but couldn't due to the fact that class was cut so short.

Today I talked to them as if they were there characters. They are no longer themselves but there characters. Then I asked them to picture were they are from. What are there rooms like and what not.

Today we got the stage. Well half of it. The first two scene's were suppose to be memorized. Derek, Jazarad, Richelle and Emioni didn't have them memorized. I guess I will have to be firmer with this. We got through the first two scene's but we will still have to work on them. We practiced the next few scene's with scripts to get a feel of the environment at bit.4

Today was a a emotional recall day. I had them lie on the floor as I played soothing music for them. I talked to them and tried to get them to imagine they were there character. After I talked to them and asked them about the experience.

Today I reviled who shall play what part. We read through the play with everyone speaking ther assigned roles a couple times.

Today we read through the script. I got everyone to try speaking each part out loud to help me make a dissension. I also tried to explain each character to them so they could get an understanding of who they may want.

Today was the first day we started the play. Not much happened today except I talked about a bit of the back story of the little mermaid. Trying to explain the difference between the original(Christian Andersen's) version and the Disney. That's about all we did.

Today we started of course with Monday morning check in. After I got them to play Body Parts. Which they don't seem to like it to much. They did not enjoy the singing or they disagreed with my idea of who was out. I thought I was doing an ok job. But I think people did want to be out and keep playing.

After that they were split into there group I went to work on my stuff. I made a list of props and stuff. Then I ended up helping Dollar with siging up for grad pictures. Don't quite know how that happened Then class was over.

Today we played a bunch of warm up games. Then they were told to do their own scene from fairytale tabolid and I was went to watch. They were very good. Not much else happened except more warm up games.

Today was a pretty slow day. I was up and down and up and down. I was working with a group that was doing Sleeping beauty. Once again Raphael didn't want anything to do with it. I am bothered by his not caring. I don't what I can do with him anymore. He is not motivated and just doesn't care. He is defently not someone I'd like in my play because he'd call it stupid and not even try.

Beside that I was back up to work on my play. It shall be done for tomorrow.

Today we had a TOC. We mostly played games today. But for about 20 minutes I think we worked on our fairytales. Again Raphael didn't want to work on it. I don't know how to motivate him to work. He doesn't care about the class and doesn't care if he or the rest of the group fails.

Today we did some tabloid scene's. They then were separated into groups of like 5 or 6 people. I was put into a group to even out the groups. My group agreed to do Sleeping beauty that took us almost all class to decide that that's what we were going to do. All three girls (counting me) wanted to be Aurora. First we did closet number between one and ten. I was tied with someone and then her and I did rock paper scissor. So I was to be Sleeping Beauty.

Asmite (sp?) was not happy with this and got mad at first but eventually she gave in. Raphael didn't want anything to do with it and it was really hard to convince him to join in.

Today for class we played "the big wind blows for those ...". In the dot dot dot you add one fact that is true about yourself. If anyone one else in the circle has that true statement as well they must get up and find another spot. However the person in the middle is trying to steal as seat to. Whoever is in the middle must start all over again.

Afterward we learned about tabloid ((well they learned I knew)). I don't think any of them did to badly on it. Maybe work on a but of focus but that is it. I think they will start to understand it better soon. Which is good because there is a tabloid in my play ^-^

Not much happened today. To start we played this game called the eye contact game. People understood the game very well after they got the hang of it. I think everyone quite enjoyed that game. However one thing I noticed is some people purposely avoided my gaze. But it was not just happening to me but other people to. If someone dosn' t like someone or doesn't want people to think they hang around with that person type thing it seems they would avoid eye contact completely.

After that I tried to figure out for the rest of the class why my internet wasn't working only to find out in Acting that the school server was down. Which makes perfect sense. But it might be down for a week. Oh boy...

Today we played bang to start. I don't really like that game but I play it anyways. Even though you don't like things I know sometimes in life you have to put up with it even though you don't like what your doing. Also you can't be upset in front of everyone otherwise they may not want to play it either and then there is no plan of what to play. But nevermind that.

After they were sent to work on their scene's. I was pulled into a group because there were people not here today. So I didn't do so well and didn't quite understand what they were doing because last class I didn't pay attention to the project they were giving.

Mrs. C was away today and also are TOC didn't show up so we had a sub TOC. Which is kind of confusing when you think about it. Also for every class there is going to be a different TOC all day. So of course since I have Mrs. C twice it even confused me more.

Anyways to start off the class Kamen led Adam 5. I may of been a little more aggressive then I should be and ended up stepping on Jordan's toe by mistake. I applojized and we ended up playing another round afterwords.

After that they were separated into groups of two. Tomorrow they will present there projects to Mrs. C

First we did a warm up led by Jessica. We had character's on our backs and had to figure out who we were and help other people figure out who they were. Once you figured out your character you had to do your best to act as your character and continue to help people to figure out who they were till everyone was figured out.

After that we watched out acts from Friday for your legends. That was the last thing we did for class.

Today we played a game Kamen suggested. Where we were split into two teams and had to line up on either side. A person from each side was sent out to the middle to sit on a bench. Each had a character and had to act like that character. As that character you also had to guess what the other person's character was.

I think is a really good game to play. Except people didn't seem interested in it so I think they did it lazily instead of with full energy.

Since Halloween is on Sunday we were all dressed up in costumes today. So of course no one could take anything seriously today. Mrs. C decided we would make folk legends today as a project. My group had babysitters and children and the phone ringing. In the end it turns out that it's the dad all along. Except for the line going dead.

I don't think anyone except Kamen and I are really interested in being true to what we were doing. The rest of my group I don't think wants anything to do with acting. Except to get credits and a course.

That took up all class then it was time to go.

To start out class Mrs. C spent quite a bit of time talking about what happened last class. I didn't saying anything because Number 1 I felt a little stressed about yesterday, because no one listened to me, and Number 2 I didn't want to give any names of people.

Today they are working on there Gibberish Scene's once again. Last class they only showed previews and now they are suppose to perform then.

To start off the class we had to line up for our TOC. He did attendance in an interesting way. After Attendence we played a game I learned from a summer camp. It combineds a bunch of different commands from different games.

As much as everyone enjoyed the game people had problems listening today and I had to many time stand and wait for everyone to be quite. I think because there was a TOC here today they took advantage of the fact and took a long time to pipe down.

Besides that I didn't watch the rest of the class and wrote this. But I know they performed a pre-view of there gibberish scene's.

We started with an opener warm up game to start. Then after practice our little play's for a bit then we were ready to perform. Darin and I have to work on the same things. Tonning down..same intensity less energy. After we performed I hurried up to work on my homework so I didn't pay attention to anything else in class.

The first game we played in class today we Hot chair cold chair. Mrs. C tricked most people with Freeze though. Epically because of the game we played yesterday. So a lot of people were out that round and we were left with only 5 people. Of course I was one of thous five people because I know how to play both.

After we were separated into opposite sex pairs. We were told to create a scene based off of a piece of paper.

To begin we started by playing whoosh. However everyone got confused because I had explained Zip, Zap, Zoom before which is very similar whoosh. So the game didn't get to far. Instead after we played he hug game. Which was a very fun game and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

After that Mrs.C started a game where we had to listen very clearly. I got banged once and I hit someone else once. It was very easy to bump into people. Afterwords I worked on my homework and then was done with class soon after.

Today they worked in there groups for there skits. I pretty much all class worked on my work. I am worried about Kamen and Dollar though because they don't work in class when given time and still haven't finished there first project\. I know it's none of my business but I hope they pass.

Today we didn't do much. We started with a warm up called "steal the keys" Many people of course did not want to do it. Just watch. People just don't want to get out of there shell and we have to show them.

After I worked on my script annlasis then we were done class.

To start of the class today we played Chicken, Knight, conquer. When we play these games I'll admit I don't play attention to anyone really. I just try to win as much as possible. After we study are stuff to play some games. First we played Simon says with terms in it and after played Tic-tac-toe. I think most people understand things very well and only a little more studying and everyone will have it down pat.

When the class officially started. I started a game where we had two kills and we pretended to be in different places. Everyone had to shake hands. If you were the murder you had to rub the inside of the person you shakes hand . Then the person must walk around and in 30 seconds die a dramatic death. The biggest problem was people were cheatting and opening there eyes when I was picking people. Next time I have to have spotters.

After that we played electricity. I am use to playing with a piece of tape that you flip and one side has sparks drawn on and the other doesn't. As you flip it if there is sparks you pass it down the line. However everyone else has played it with the leader squeezing hands. Again people were cheating and as you saw it worked better with spotters for that.

To start of the class of course we did Monday morning check in. After we played a warm up. Then we did a job where we had to to either pretend who you are at different times of the day, or if you were in the second group you had to pretend who you were at different times of youre life going down.

After we got a bit of time to work on our super hero projects. Again my group I didn't get control of but it didn't turn out to badly. When we performed it, it went quite well I think.

Today we had Mr. Daniel's return to teach us. To start we played "I went to my grandmother's house and in my bag I put...". It is a memory game. I ran it and the class didn't to bad.

After we worked on our skits. My group perfected the first scene and we are still working on the second one. We got time to practice and then did a "Preview" of our performaces. After we were all done they wrote in there journals and class was finished.

Today we worked on our super hero skits. I feel as if I didn't really get good control of the group again. We got two scene's completed and we are just trying to perfect them now. I am not sure how this will go. My group is a bit hard to control as a director and we mostly came up with the whole thing as a group.

To start off the class we played "Baby I love you". It seems as if people in the class are still embarrassed about doing things in front of each other. I guess we will have to do other games like that to get them unembarrassed with each other.

After we got in groups and discussed what superheros are. When we got a bunch of words we were told that we were going to make a skit with at least one hero, and one super villain. However we couldn't seem to really agree on anything.

During our discussion Amneat(sp?) seemed to take over. Every time I tried to direct again and ask why she was taking over she said because I wasn't and basically wouldn't let me take over. I guess I need to toughen up a bit and know how to say no to people to take over.

Mrs. C was finally back today. We of course started Monday morning check-in's (Even though it was Thursday because yesterday was a pro-d-day.). After that we played Mafia. I explained my rules with the cards. Then after tyhe first round someone else in the class said they knew another version and we played the other version.

The game didn't really work after the couple rounds because everyone was talking. No one was listening to rules or closing there eyes. Asking questions at inappropriate times. I was getting stressed out with everyone for there not listening. They need to learn to respect who is speaking at the time and not talk in between every little thing.

To start off the day we played a few warm-ups. After wards the scenes we had performed before in the previous class but this time we had to add a problem. My group added a terrorist It seemed everyone got sort of the idea and some people only broke character a couple of times.

We had a sub today named Mr.Daniel's. To start of we played a bunch of circle games. First fruit's basket, then off your rump (or as I know it the great wind blow's.) After we got to make scene's that he gave us. Then not much else happened. We showed them.

Kaeman had taken over and we first played a game that I can't remember the name of. After we played one round of the "killing game" as I'm going to call it and we pretended to be in a museum. However not many people were trying I don't think. They are more trying to find the killing then play the game.

After that we got to show our skits. My group apparently did well except they needed to make more clear who they were trying to be in the skit. I however was just sitting behind the tv making music for the video game.

To start off the class with played a game called Skull Island. However for the final round we pretended to be in a shopping mall. First couple of times people were just standing around but soon enough by the last round people were getting the hang of it. However the mall was easier then the stranded island.

After we played a few rounds of that we were separated in our groups from yesterday for our miming skit's with the three words. Our group is doing well and is ready to perform anytime. We got to see a few and I have to say I like them. Can't wait to show my group's tomorrow.

First off I was going to start off with Zip, Zap, Zoom. But Mrs. C came in and started check-in first, because it was Monday. After however we started the game. It took people a while but soon enough people started to understand how to play it. Then I started adding Ramp, Block, and Boing.

After that I went into the hallway with Jessica. She said we needed to be more direct with them and more of a leader then there friend. I guess I have a bit of a problem with this myself. I try to get people to respect me as a peer, then slip in the leader role. But apparently we need to get them to respect me as a leader first.

Afterwords we were given time to reflect on one activity we did and people had interesting opinion on things. After that we got into groups and we will perform next class.

I didn't really get much time in the class today. First off I was out in the hallway for most of the class discussing things. But anyways after I came in on the game bang hosted by Jessica. I was terrible at it and died right away. But everyone seemed to try and had a wonderful time.

After a couple rounds of that some people showed of there miming skits from yesterday. They were all good and quite funny I have to say. I can't wait to see the rest tomorrow. ^-^

To start off the day I decided to start a game since Ms. C had not shown up yet. I decided to play and acting version of Duck Duck Goose. It was too much as a big group and Kaeman suggest to split into to two group. I agreed to this.

So I numbered them off and told one's to go to one side of the stage and the two's to another. The one's would not sit down even though I asked them like 5 times. The two's weren't really either but they seemed to sit down faster then the two's.

Then Ms.C came in and got upset with team one because they weren't listening to me. She had a discussion with them for about 5 minutes. Afterwords they all seemed to enjoy the activity. Except for Tiffany. She did not seem interested at all. Every time she was selected she just lightly ran around to get back and never acted. I kept saying something but the last time she was selected she said "Oh I know for next time I guess". I don't what I was really suppose to do with her. She was being a poor sport.

Afterwords we were sent to make a mimming sort of play. My group and I figured out quite quickly what we were going to do and we worked together well. But everyone will now have to wait till tomorrow to see it I guess.

To start off today I got to lead the game password. First I separated everyone into two teams. Then put one's on one side of the bored, and two's on the other.

I think it went pretty well surprisingly. There was only one weird round where I don't really know how to explain what happened. But the answer kept getting told with out the people guessing or they'd look.

After wards we got into partner and did a blind test game. Personally I think it got better as it went on. Crash happened in the begging but as we moved around and what not people got better at directing.

Then we did a game where we had one person in the middle and we pushed them around in a circle trusting that people would not let you fall. My group did terribly. They let me plus one other person fall. I don't think people really wanted to do the activity.

Today I don't think went that well. First we did Check in's which were fine. Checked in on people's weekends. Just to see how everyone was doing. After however I was to lead a trust exercise. Based upon memory from the last time I had done it before with people.

I had thought since there was alot of people to split into 2 groups. My plan was to have one person from each group to stand on one of the giant die's. Then have everyone else stand in lines in two lines in front of the die, and have the people fall backwards onto them.

This plan didn't seem to work so well because there were more people in each group the the height of one person. So some people would of been left standing around. Kaeman seems to want to take control a bit and instead of letting me figure out a little bit he said "No...let's play a warm up instead" and that's how we started playing hot chair cold chair instead. Then of course we played that and didn't get back to the trust exercise.

After all that jazz the human knot game we played 3 times. First time was a huge mess. Nobody communicate with each other and didn't really work. However the second time we seemed to have the right idea by communicate with each other. The 3rd and final time we had to do it with no talking. We actually didn't do to bad and ended up in a figure 8 so of.

We ended the day with a little freeze. I think we could do the trust exercise again but maybe next time in smaller groups would make more sense I think...

In Class today we learned alot. It has been a skill building class and teamwork themed week that I know will be carried onto next week.

The first warm up game we played didn't really work. We don't know the name of it and I don't know if people just didn't understand or didn't want to understand it. Either way this gangster game didn't work.

Instead we played chicken, conquer, and knight. Everyone seemed more interested in that game. I and some other person (still learning names) won the first round. The second round however I got kicked out earlier. However we all enjoyed it as far as I could tell.

After the ice breaker games we played a game called circle of trust. Everyone I could tell felt a little awkward but as the game went we tried to hold ourselves up together and everyone got happy when we ended up beating the record of 2:45min. We made it to 3:20min. People are becoming more comfortable with each other and I think as we play more of these type games we will all become closer as a class.

At the end we played around of Freeze. Very few people were interested in going up though it seemed. I think every though we trust each other people are getting simple stage fright. They are worried that people are going to think they are idiots or something. I think however if I keep trying to play and show I'm not afraid to be silly then maybe they'll lighten up a bit and want to join in. At the same time though we should have students help lead the example so another reason they'd want to play it. I hope they get more comfortable soon!

Directing and Scripting writing

This class is a very interesting class. It's on top of a grade.09/10 drama class. I'm in a leadership type position right under the teacher and above the students.

I still haven't learned all the names and who everyone is quite yet but I'm trying. That has always been a problem with me. It takes forever to learn names but once I have it down pat I won't forget.

I think that this will be a good year. I have always gotten along better with younger kids last year. My friends were all in grade.09 last year and they all looked up to me as "Queen Bee" as my dad calls it.

Today we played a game were we walked around and touched objects and called them what they were not. I personally think that I was more involved in the game myself then paying attention to the students. But then again for things like that I have been better at leading by example then watching others to help them. I am good at helping people though when they ask me or someone lets me know that they need help.
